I thought NASCAR was fast until I saw the Indy Racing League cars blister Richmond International Raceway in the summer of 2005.
They were just flat out fast. Helio Castroneves won the pole in record time and went on to win the race that year.
It was also Danica Patrick’s rookie year in IRL. Yes, she attracted quite a crowd!
