Anguish …

There is a lot going on right now in my life but this graphic is not a complete reflection of me. That said, I’m sure everyone has felt like this at some point in their life.

The word ‘anguish’ in and of itself is a strange word. I mean, it rhymes with ‘squish’ but it has a ‘g’ instead of a ‘q’.

Defined in the dictionary, anguish means:

anguish |ˈa ng gwi sh |noun severe mental or physical pain or suffering:  she shut her eyes in anguish |Philip gave a cry of anguish.

verb suffer or cause someone to suffer anguish:  he anguished over how to reply.

ORIGIN Middle English: via Old French from Latin angustia ‘tightness,’(plural) ‘straits, distress,’ from angustus ‘narrow.’
